Jumping into RAS
Are you interested in recirculating aquaculture systems? This is a great place to start. This course takes you through the basics and breaks it down so you can use it as a foundation for anything else RAS related.

This is a great tour through what it means to recycle water in aquaculture and why its done. We then look at the pro's and cons before jumping into the overview of how it works using an interactive basic RAS animation. Meet your tutor
Denise Hearn
Denise has been involved in aquaculture for about 20 years. She has been educating people about marine conservation and aquaculture since 2012 and continues to do so to this day. She has worked all over the world with a large range of different species, including sea weed, micro algae, lobsters, shrimp, clownfish, salmon, mussels, crayfish, kingfish, amberjacks, grouper and many more. She has worked in RAS, in large flow through systems and offshore aquaculture. Denise is passionate about the environment and about aquaculture.
